Fit Club is a new program for the Cedar Crest College community aimed at creating a fat loss lifestyle in the collegiate setting.

This program is for anyone wishing to attain or maintain fat loss, get into better shape, and/or learn to live a manageable fit and healthy lifestyle. 

 

We are turning the fit lifestyle into a game, and there are multiple ways to win!  By earning points and participating in different events, you have the chance to win great prizes!

 

We provide you with all the tools necessary to be successful: including on-going accountability with group workouts, access to personal trainers, nutritional advice and individualized nutrition plans, and most importantly, support to achieve your goals!

 

Anyone in the Cedar Crest College community can sign up for FREE to receive:

  1. Specially designed workouts by certified trainers;

  2. Expert advice and tips from guest professional trainers;

  3. Weekly Fit Club workouts led by certified trainers (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday... come to as many as you’d like!);

  4. Specific metabolic typing;

  5. Nutritional information in conjunction with your metabolic type;

  6. Invitations for special Fit Club events, presentations, and seminars;

  7. Chances to win great prizes, but most importantly…

  8. REAL interaction with REAL trainers!

 

How can I win?

1. Have the highest percentage of fat lost;

2. Win the fitness improvement competition;

3. Win the overall fitness competition, or;

4. Rack up the most points.

 

How can I get points?

Attend opening orientation- 20 points

Participate in Fit Club classes- 3 points per class

Participate in any fitness classes- 1 point per class

Attend Wellness Wednesday- 5 points each Wednesday

Attend Fitness Friday- 5 points each Friday

Attend both Wellness Wednesday and Fitness Friday in one week- 10 extra points

Have initial testing done (week 1)- 5 points

Complete final testing (week 4)- 5 points

Complete weekly challenges- 5 points

 

What are Wellness Wednesday and Fitness Friday?

Each week there will be two different events from which you can earn points. 

 

Wellness Wednesdays will focus on the nutrition side of fat loss.  The events will range from hands on workshops to competitions, where you may have the chance to earn extra points!

 

Fitness Fridays will focus on the exercise component.  Every Friday you will be given a challenge to complete.  In order to receive points, post a picture or video of you completing the challenge to our Facebook page or tag us on Twitter.  You may also check in with the fitness center attendant after you complete the challenge in the fitness center to receive points.  The best pictures and videos will receive extra points!

 

When can I join?

Join the first round by September 8th!
